Motorswamis was born when two childhood friends reconnected after decades and discovered that their childhood passion for journeys together was still burning strong. Each one had travelled the country and the world after their school and decided to offer their experiences in the form of carefully curated exploratory drive journeys to like minded adventurers. The name Motorswami is due to the fact that Swaminathan Kumar got this nickname in his workplace where he designed electric motor controllers.

SRIHARI
I’m Srihari, an electrical engineer by profession and a lover of the outdoors.
From childhood, I’ve been drawn by the out of the ordinary, from leading small groups through treks in the jungles of Tamilnadu in my school to leading a bunch of SUV aficionados on off-road expeditions with the Safari User Group, co-founded by me 10 years ago. I’m an adventurer and travel enthusiast. I have travelled extensively across India and love to drive across different terrains to discover new offbeat locations. Through Motorswamis, I intend to thoroughly map out each destination, uncover hidden, non-touristy but culture and nature-rich locations, and craft them into an exciting itinerary for our clients to experience .

I’m Kumar Ramanathan, I am an engineer by profession working on designing electric motor controllers, and an adventurer at heart.
My journey began when I had a chance to visit Gangothri and Gangnani 35 years ago. Ever since, I have taken every opportunity to visit places with wonderful sights of nature and experience the joy and peace of being outdoors. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of travelling to many parts of the world and experiencing places that are off the beaten path. I thought these experiences are best remembered by asking fellow travelers to also traverse the path and hence it’s my endeavor, through Motorswamis, to curate some adventures and contribute in some small way this spirit of travelling off the beaten path and experiencing some rarely seen sights. Whether it’s riding, driving, flying, sailing or diving, there is so much of the world to see. Let’s explore together!
